NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 8-week education and wellness program for adults (18 +) living with a mental health condition. The course helps participants understand the impact of symptoms on their life, develop skills to reduce stress, and experience support and reinforcement from others who can relate.  Taught by trained mentors who themselves live with a mental health condition, this group is offered in a small group and confidential setting.
 
What is Covered?  

  • Exploring different viewpoints of mental health recovery and treatment options

  • Learning about the relationship between mental health and overall physical health

  • Practicing skills and strategies for stress reduction

  • Setting goals and developing confidence for making decisions

  • Strengthening support networks including with mental health providers
