Wooch Yáa Awudané: Together We Are Strong Suicide Prevention Training

Juneau Suicide Prevention Coalition (a program of NAMI Juneau) offers free community suicide prevention training.

Wooch Yáa Awudané: Together We Are Strong is a training developed by NAMI Juneau/JSPC Staff and volunteers, and Tlingit & Haida staff. The training offers a combination of principles from lived experience, evidence based concepts and practices found in numerous training models and scientific studies from the field of suicidology, and is infused with SE Alaska Indigenous values. It was designed to be the most comprehensive and culturally relevant suicide prevention training for our region. Attendees will find that this training is easily accessible, well suited for both laypersons and professionals, and offers a community approach to suicide prevention.
